negotiations, direct negotiations between him and the house speaker, the deal be struck between them. at the same time he is going to michigan tomorrow, where he will make the same case to autoworkers, the same types of middle-class people who helped him get elected in the industrial midwest. >> democrats are seen to have the most leverage in negotiations. it seems the options for republicans are narrowing. >> president obama has said he will not make a deal without an increase in the tax rates on people who make more than $250,000, which is something that republicans refuse to do. they want -- do not want to raise tax rates on anyone. as senator corker of tennessee said -- president obama holds the cards. >> what do you think his opinion represents? is this just one senate republican, or does this show kind of a shift in attitude among republicans? >> it certainly shows -- a

number of republicans are looking to make a deal with the president. but until speaker boehner and the house republicans come to terms with raising tax rates president obama has said he will make a deal with them. >> we will see if republicans capitulate. let's talk about the job report that came out -- now the election is over, it seems not as much is -- attention is paid to these reports. it showed the economy is still on a track of city growth and the people have not lost confidence that a deal will be struck. >> the unemployment rate ticked down again. like he said during the campaign these come out on the first friday of the month and we talk about them all along. this week it pop for about half an hour and everyone forgot about it. it really shows that at the end of the day the jobs reports are much more indicative of what is already going on as opposed to a signal. >> day think it gives the

president leverage in these fiscal cliff negotiations? >> the president is making the case that the economy is getting better but still fragile and sea and the republicans have both said the country goes over the fiscal cliff it will be very bad for the economy. >> it shows people are still confident -- at what point will that confidence start to wayne? >> probably when we get around christmas or get down to the very last days before the end of the year. these things never get done until both sides backs are up against the wall and the calendar is about to run out. the other side wants to appear they gave too much. -- neither side wants to appear they give up too much. >> a balancing act to the end. thank you so much. >> 23 days ago. not everything is a on the internet is ok in the eyes of the law -- what a virginia judge decided about a post by a woman who slammed the work of a contractor hired to make repairs.

internet. a contractor is suing the woman for what she posted about his work. our virginia bureau chief reports -- it was a split decision. >> for the past year-and-a-half this is the day chris has been waiting for. >> to be able to say, i was right, justice and truth prevailed -- is a great deal. >> the decision in fairfax county stems from an internet post following work he did on this town home in fairfax county. in june 2011, the owner hired his company for the job. she claims it was awful -- doors off the hinges, scuffed up floors. she was furious and aired her grievances on a yelp. in addition to accusing him of stealing her jewelry and trespassing. >> you always have the right to free speech. she should have a right to explain her interaction with the contractor. >> she removed her post from

degrees in alexandria. a 10th of an inch of rain earlier in the day. here in the district, looking at 44 degrees. a quarter of an inch of rain this afternoon. a fog advisory stretching all the way to the chesapeake bay. this is an atoll 9:00 tomorrow morning. visibility rapidly diminishing as the fog continues to get a little thicker out there. a half a mile of visibility. even less than that in quantico. looking for the fog to lift mid morning. temperatures for the overnight will not move a lot. the big change will come when the warm front moves to the north of us. the wind changes direction to the south and west -- that will allow temperatures tomorrow in the mid to upper 60's, are around 70 degrees, remaining high if not breaking the record. set in 1979 -- 58 degrees.

this is the cold front that moves through late tomorrow night, early tuesday morning. even though we see temperatures on tuesday in the lower 50's, afternoon temperatures will be in the 40's. travel plans taking you to try or minneapolis or chicago -- expect some delays early tomorrow morning. it will have to contend with the fog in the dc metro area. showers across the bay -- no problems for us. the future test shows a cold front to the west of us. temperatures tomorrow into the 60's. that is our forecast -- more details moving on to the day tomorrow. 65-70. the extended outlook shows temperatures going to fall quickly on tuesday. in the lower 50's after midnight. in the 40's. >> a reawakening after tomorrow.
